 The Thorney Society

Formed January 1985 

For Thorney and its parish, the aims of the Society are to

                                 Collect information about people and places of historic interest
                   To promote and publish research
     To educate the public and members through meetings, lectures and exhibitions 
            about the history and architecture of the area
                     To preserve features of historic and public interest
  To promote high standards of planning and architecture

 Members receive a newsletter at least four times a year, and invitations to a variety of events.
