Thorney Heritage Museum opens for the 2017 season on Easter Sunday at 2pm! We will be there until 5pm, and then local stewards will be on duty every Sunday until the end of September.
This magnolia was planted in memory of Gordon Beharrell, an early supporter of the Museum in Thorney, and a descendent of a French family who migrated from Sandtoft in Yorkshire to work on the Earl of Bedford's estate at Thorney in the mid 17th century.
Thorney Heritage Museum has around 200 digitised family trees, including one for the Beharrells, made by our late Curator, Jim Gregory. They are available to researchers in return for a donation to the Thorney Society.
