To Crowland Show.... with WWII

Tomorrow, Thorney Heritage Museum wil be represented in the 1940s area at Crowland Show - do come and see us if you are there. We will have information boards about the Prisoner of War Camp (later the European Voluntary Workers' Camp) and a copy of the catalogue from when the huts and equipment were sold in May 1951. This is a photo of the hut bases were taken down. The school and the Women's Land Army huts can, I believe, be seen behind the trees, along with some of the houses on Wisbech Road. The photo is taken facing north. Thanks to Sue Squires for these donations to the Museum.
