There is a large consultation taking place at the moment about the next ten years' funding plans of the Arts Council England. It is available at www.artscouncil.org.uk/NextTenYears One thing which struck me was the section of proposals about Creative Communities (pages 12-13 of the Draft Strategy). A Creativism workshop is planned for September 2019 - "Dare to Dream" - about people's dreams and hopes in the community of Thorney, which illustrates how the Museum can contribute during this year's Heritage Open Days. The widest possible range of responses to the Consultation are requested - and I think that responses from rural areas will be important as many cultural institutions are city-based.
